오늘은 '현재 진행 시제'에 대해 설명드리고자 합니다.

 

 

현재진행시제(Present Continuous Tense)란?

~하고 있다, ~하는 중이다로 주로 해석되며,
지금 하고 있는 행동이나 일어나고 있는 일에 대해 말할 때 사용됩니다.

하지만,
꼭 지금이 아닌 "요즘"하고 있는 일을 설명할 때도 사용됩니다.

1. 동사의 현재분사형 사용
현재진행시제에서는 주로 동사의 현재분사형인 -ing 형태를 사용합니다.
예를 들어, "She is eating lunch."와 "They are studying for the exam."에서는 "is" 또는 "are"와 이어지는 동사의 현재분사형이 현재진행시제를 나타냅니다.

 

2. 현재 진행 중인 동작 또는 상태 표현
현재진행시제는 현재 진행 중인 동작이나 상태를 나타냅니다.

즉, 말하는 시점에서 일어나고 있는 일을 설명할 때 사용됩니다.

• I am writing an email. (저는 이메일을 쓰고 있어요.)
• She is watching TV. (그녀는 티비를 보고 있어요.)

3. 일시적인 상황이나 계획 표현
현재진행시제는 일시적인 상황이나 계획을 나타낼 때도 사용될 수 있습니다. 

특히 일정한 계획이나 약속을 나타내는 데 자주 쓰입니다.

• They are meeting their friends tonight. (그들은 오늘밤 친구들을 만나요.)
• I am reading a book at the moment. (저는 요즘/지금 책을 읽고 있어요.)
